Exosomal Liquid Laser is the name the Italian lab gave this protocol, and they chose it because the finish reminds people of what a resurfacing laser does, reached instead with liquids and hands. That is the whole story behind the word. What it actually is: three things done in one appointment, in a fixed order. A bio-booster peel, a delivery step, and a serum of colostrum-derived exosomes. Each is a real treatment on its own, and in sequence each step makes the next one work better. That sequence is the entire idea.
The Three Steps, Explained Like an Old Wooden Floor
Think about refinishing an old wooden floor. Step one is the sanding. You cannot put anything good onto a surface covered in a dull, built-up layer, so the peel clears it away. Now we are working on fresh skin instead of a wall of dead cells. Step two opens the door. Even sanded, skin is built to keep things out, so a delivery pass, either nano-infusion or microneedling, briefly opens microscopic pathways through the surface. Step three delivers the instructions. Exosomes are tiny packages that cells use to send messages to each other, far too small to see. Each one carries a note that says things like make more collagen here, calm this down, repair that. What a Session Feels Like, Minute by Minute
Plan on about ninety minutes. The first few are conversation and a double cleanse, no scrubs and no acids, just a mild gel so the peel lands evenly. Next comes a prep solution on cotton pads, which degreases the skin and balances its pH. Then VitaLina asks you to rate what you feel from zero to ten, and she keeps asking all the way through. Zero to two is nothing, five to six is sensitive, and past seven means we slow down or stop. The peel goes on in thin layers. Most people describe a warm tingle that builds for half a minute and then settles. A neutralising spray stops it completely, and cool damp cloths take off every trace. The delivery pass comes next and takes a few minutes across the whole face. Then the exosome serum is massaged in, cool and gel-like, and most people find this the nicest part. A soothing mask sits on for twenty to thirty minutes. We finish with a rich barrier cream and sunscreen. You leave looking flushed, like you have been out in the wind.
The Six Days After, Day by Day
The Italian lab describes full skin recovery within about six days, with visible change from day three to day five. That is the manufacturer's observation of its own protocol, not a promise. Here is what those six days usually look like.
- Day 1. Flushed and warm, like a light windburn. Skin feels tight. Barrier cream morning and night, with a petrolatum ointment over the top if it feels dry.
- Day 2. The flush fades to pink and the tightness peaks. Makeup is possible but not comfortable yet.
- Day 3. Skin feels papery and can look a little dull before it looks better. Some people get fine flaking around the nose and mouth. This is the turn.
- Days 4 and 5. Flaking settles. This is where most people first look in the mirror and see it: smoother surface, more even tone, a lit-from-within quality.
- Day 6. Most people are back to completely normal skin and happy to be photographed. Sunscreen is still not optional.
Many clients notice the change between day three and day five. Individual results vary, and I will never promise you a percentage or a date.
Who It Suits, and Who Should Wait
This suits skin that looks tired rather than damaged: dullness, uneven tone, early lines, softening firmness, pores that look larger than they used to, and the marks breakouts leave behind. It is a good fit if you want a real step up from a basic facial but cannot disappear for two weeks. It is not for everyone, and there is one absolute no on this list. - You are pregnant or breastfeeding.
- You have an active skin infection, an open lesion, or a cold sore that is flaring.
- You finished a course of isotretinoin within the last six months.
- You have had another peel, a laser, or any other treatment on the same area very recently. We space things out on purpose.
- Your skin is sunburned or freshly tanned, or you have a beach holiday inside the next ten days.
- You have an autoimmune condition. We talk it through first, go gently, or choose something else.
How It Compares to a Plain Peel and to Microneedling With Exosomes
Against our Bio-Booster Peel at $160, the difference is the second half of the appointment. The peel alone clears the surface and feeds it at the same time, which is genuinely enough for a lot of people. The Liquid Laser adds the delivery step and the exosome serum, which is what shortens the recovery and pushes the finish further. Against our microneedling with exosomes at $280, the difference is the peel. Microneedling opens the pathway and delivers the serum, but it starts on unprepared skin. Aftercare, and the Questions I Get Asked Most
The aftercare is simple but not optional. The result you get in six days is mostly decided by what you do during them. Beyond the list below, two questions come up every time. Does it hurt? No. It is warm and it tingles, and because you give me a number on the scale throughout, it never gets past what you are comfortable with. Will I peel in front of everyone? Usually not in the dramatic way people imagine. Expect fine flaking around the nose and mouth around day three, which a good moisturiser hides. - Barrier cream morning and night, and again during the day if your skin feels tight.
- A petrolatum ointment over the top for the first five or six days.
- SPF 30 in winter and SPF 50 in summer, every morning, no exceptions.
- No acids, no retinol, no scrubs and no exfoliating tools for fourteen days.
- No sauna, steam room, hot yoga or swimming pool for ten days.
- No waxing or other hair removal on the treated area for fourteen days.
